My wife and I are spending the weekend after next in Manhattan. We'll
be doing the Metropolitan Museum (and swing by Papaya King!) and
several other several museums and the like, so we won't have much time
to spare. However, if there's a must-visit, subway-accessible
restaurant- or cooking-supply store, I'd like to hear about it.

There must be at least 10 restaurant supply stores in the Bowery (on
Bowery St and general area). Also if you get to that area there are a
couple of great hand pulled noodle/soup places on the southernmost block
of Eldridge St. (near the big Synagogue). I can also picture a couple
restaurant supply places in that area on Eldridge.
