lambs liver undercooked
I recently posted and asked whether it was alright to have lamb slightly
undercooked and the concensus was that it is O.K. But would the same response apply to internal lamb's organs that filter out waste products like kidney and liver? I guess lamb's heart would be alright, but is slightly undercooked kidney and liver alright as well please? thanks. |

Depends on the cooking method... with grilling, broiling, frying, the longer cooking will not lessen any accumulation of waste products in organ meat, if anything the longer it's cooked by those methods the more concentrated any waste products will become. To remove some waste products cook by boiling and throw away the cooking liquid... naturally this will leave you with some awful tasting offal... instead don't eat these products often or in large quantities.
