Default New Mexico Cook-in Planning

Heya folks,

I had been thinking about starting a mailing list of sorts for the
logistical planning of the NM Cook-in..however it is difficult for me
to email from my email client right now. Verizon screwed it up....

So for the time being, unless the people planning to attend have a lot
of objections, I am starting a yahoo mailing list. It is a private
one, and I have to approve you, but those thinking of attending the NM
cook-in on Labor Day weekend, are welcome to sign up. I figure we can
start figuring out where to stay (for those of you coming from afar),
who is getting there early, shopping, etc... and who is actually
coming!!! Plus a whole host of other things....

If this is very objectionable to you all, I can try to do a regular
one from my email client. I know some folks object to yahoo groups on
principle, and I totally understand. If giving out your email is a
concern, then rest assured that you don't have to do that on the yahoo
groups. Also, you can post from the website, and from email:your
choice.

The address for the mailing list is:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NMCook-in/

If you try to sign up for it, leave a message in the little message
window so I know who it is..just in case I don't recognize your
email....

Cathy also posted the link for the group on the rfc website or is
planning to post it, on the event page for the NM Cook-in.

If people don't want to do yahoo, I can set you up with a free
listserv on my own domain. Let me know.

Hey Serene..

So far a few folks have joined the group. I know notbob is wary of
yahoo.. I will wait to see how things go...and it may turn out that
you hosting a listserv would work well.

Thanks!!!
