Ever been laying in bed and you can't quite get out of it? but then
you think about something good to eat and you get up to get it.

I can't tell you how many times I've done that.

I have a similar dilemma most days. . .I swim laps to try to get/stay
fit. My rationale is to swim 100 laps, which probably burns about 500
calories, and then stop by the fast food joint, because I'm too hungry
to wait and take the time to cook something once I make it home.
Average fast food meal is likely about 900 calories or so!

What is it about swimming laps that makes Big Macs, fries, and
Strawberry milkshakes, sound soooooo good?

Thinking about coffee has made me get out of bed. I am an early riser,
anyway.

I don't know, but you got it going on. You're a beautiful woman with a
lot of zest for living. I mean.. if it's working it can't be all that
bad. That's a lot of laps. You must have one strong heart.

Maybe you behave with everything and the Big Mac, Large Fry and Orange
Soda is your little bad thing to do

who would have thought ALL THEM LAPS only burnt 500 calories.

I can eat 500 calories in under one minute lol.
It would take me a couple of visits to the pool to swim that many.
I should be ashamed of myself. BUT IM NOT!

Actually, I'm trying to use food (cooking, really) as a way to re-find
and vitalize myself after massive life changes.

SOme successes, some failures. Anyone else done this?

And what was that like? Should I be afraid?

Christine, looking to be in that area permanently by 24 months from
now.

Let's just say we ate better and definately had more variety than now,
although my husband actually did comment one time "Are we having
crepes for dinner *again*?" Everyone gets stuck in a rut
occasionally.

Does that mean you'll be moving your home base from AB and still
traveling for your job or moving and taking a permanent job here too?

Hmm..I thought we had talked about this.

It means I am very homesick for the bay area, and will be moving back
permanently with my homebase there. Probably in the east bay, as that
is my favorite area, with easy access to Berkeley and places like
Monterery Market, and Berkelely Bowl, plus various wine stores, and
whatever other wonders are there... Plus rents are cheaper in that
area.

Not sure about the job yet, but I am leaning to getting a permanent
one there, and if I can swing it, one in which I can maybe travel once
a year...

I can't do this before 2009, I don't think....

Anyway, be very afraid......

No, we haven't talked about anything other than you recycling back
through here. In fact, we haven't talked much lately. You're back at
work and I'm snowed under. Glad to hear you may become a permanent
SFBA resident! We'll have fun! Wink, wink, nugde, nudge.... don't
forget, I have a guest bedroom. BTW: It comes with an occasional cat.
He's a people cat.

Yes, we talked..LOL

I won't need your guest bedroom, unless we get into the wine too
much.. Which is entirely possible.
I hope to be able to introduce you to the Kermit Lynch shop....

The problem with that is I simply have no idea if a singling purple
triceratops is best baked, braised, or grilled.
