When I was a kid, I cut myself a few times. I really think a kid
needs to do that at least once to know how important it is to be careful with a
knife. Later, in my teens, I rarely cut myself despite my mom always warning
me to be careful. By contrast, she frequently cut herself. *smirk*
On some level it's all about dexterity.
