There's no reason you can't form your burger meat into pattys before
freezing... if made fairly thin (~3/8") they can be fried while still
frozen, in fact that's exactly what many restaurants do. Of course
you shouldn't be buying that preground mystery meat booger, grind your
own. Prepare a large meat loaf, cook, slice, and wrap into portions
and freeze... when you get home just zap... by the time you pour your
2ni it be ready to eat.
