Carol bought one and we use it two or three times a year -- once at
the annual chocolate-tasting fundraiser she's involved with, once at
her Christmas open house, and last year we made a fondue fountain at
our Oscar party.

The chocolate that Carol uses in hers is very high-quality stuff (70%,
delicious), so whatever.

I am now the "proud owner" of a chocolate fountain. DD borrowed one
from a friend and says she scratched it when she cleaned it.... so she
bought him a new one. I didn't know she had stashed it at my house
until yesterday when I discovered it. I got the story when I asked
her if she'd forgotten to return it. Oh, lucky me.... a gadget I
don't want. Why couldn't it have been a Kitchen Aide mixer instead?

I don't know about her chocolate fountain.... but this one has
instructions to add oil to the chocolate so it will keep flowing over
the hours. Why waste good chocolate when you're doing that? IMO
regular chocolate chips are fine for chocolate fountains.

Ya think Sandra Lee has an entire pantry for all her color coordinated
mixers? Maybe she holds a hellafa garage sale...?

Tried it out and it worked just fine and cleaned up easily. But I didn't
wish-wash it, I washed it by wand.
