hey zxcvbob!

Just wondering if you attempted the streudel dough, and if you were
successful or not...

I would have, but there's no surface in my cluttered house to roll out
the dough. (don't tell me to clean it then; other people are home many
more hours per day than I am, it's a lost cause)

I used phyllo dough, and it wasn't the same, but it tasted pretty good.
I had to spritz the dough with water to keep it from drying out as I
was handling it. I'll use more butter next time. I still have half a
package of dough. The gingersnap crumbs worked great.

Maybe I can set up a big folding table in the kitchen to stretch the
dough, then put the table away before anybody can claim it for all their
"stuff"...

Best regards,
Bob

Darn! I guess I may have to try it this weekend- I have a bag of
Gravensteins my mom grew and gave me.

Jeez, you're picky! Rob gets half the table for his stuff, I get half
for mine. He gets the bottom half, I get the top half. It's only right.
