Depends on where it comes from. I can buy fresh pasta at an Italian shop
where they make it. It is superb. Some of the pre-packaged fresh pasta has
not always been that good.

A good brand of dried pasta is, at the very least, consistent.

I usually use dried, but if I do use fresh I get it made from a local
Italian place. I find the supermarket kinds (like DiGiorno) kinda
mushy. But that's just me.

I don't know. I only use the dry stuff. I've eaten the fresh stuff
rarely and it didn't impress me. Perhaps it was wrongly cooked. I know
exactly how to cook the dry stuff.

Fresh home-made is much better than dry or store bought pasta.

It's a fun mess to make and having a hand or two in it is far more
rewarding, imho. Aside from it being so simple to make for less $$$.

I find making fresh pasta soothing (from another subject), come to think of
it!

Purely a matter of personal taste. I like dried because by the time I
can finish a package of fresh pasta, its not fresh any longer and it
just gets stale.
