Should we really be frightened of Teflon?

An interesting article with comments after it, for and against.

It't probably true that most of us have eaten a whole lot of teflon in
our lifetimes. It may be non stick but metal untensils will scrape it
out of a pan without issue.

I've since gotten past metal and now use plastics, but still - it's a
non-reactive substance. The fact that it stands up to acids means it
gets to our stomach, doesn't get broken down, and just passed on
through.

It's a lot of scare tactics, none of which has been backed up by hard
science.

Here we go again.

You wanna be afraid, be afraid!

I don't have the time to care about such nonsense.

jay,

You betcha!!! Comes the stroke of midnight the CotD staff go wild!!! It's
mayhem and chaos and bells and whistles and sirens and telephones, etc
for hours! Then after the CotD daily release, most of the staff pass out
in their tracks. No time for "TeflonBlogBS."

:D

Some people are incapable of being happy unless they have something to
be frightened and hysterical about.

I'm deathly afraid and hysterical over Teflon. Spinach scares me even more.

It's just common sense that no one should use Teflon or eat spinach. If you
cook spinach in Teflon... well, then you're just signing your own death
warrant.

Now I'm going bungee jumping.

Hasta,
Curt Nelson

Perhaps you think I'm afraid of Teflon? I'm not.

You know, you didn't have to reply.
