Default SNACK Fried Cherrios with butter .

1) Saute Cherrios lightly in oven or fry pan as you drip.
on some butter . Salt to taste .

You can drip on a bit of syrup , but if you drip too much
you wont get the contrasting
1) sweet then
2) butter (diacetyl )

Never sprinkle sucrose nor confectioners sugar on food ,
Make ur own syrup .
cook white or brown sugar til its a syrup , cool a to 150 F ,
add water cause it tastes better diluted .
It burns easy .

You can add vanilla , salt , butter ..
I add vanilla then a pinch of salt , its enuf for me , good flavor

Sugar dont taste good for its optimised for sweetness , but if you
boil white or brown sugar , a pinch of salt , vanilla , butter ,
now it tastes like pancake syrup .

Very interesting...I have no heard of this in 45 years. The recipe of
it was on the Cheerios box at one point. My mom would make it once in
awhile if there was no popcorn around.

Of course, when you prepare the Chex mix recipes with all their
additions, you can think back and realize that this may have started
it all!
