Default Nice carrot salad recipe

I'll just give the URL so I don't breach any copyright laws
The chicken recipe looks good too - think I can skip the
honey yoghurt though.

The carrot salad would fit in the blokey category I think

YEP! - Just about to go and make some for our fishing day out tomorrow -
that carrot would go fantastic with a fresh caught Pike roasted on Pine
logs!
Like yourself, I'll give the Honey a body-swerve...
Wish someone would Invent a honey flavored carb free stuff. I have a
collection of honeys from 12 years back that I keep giving away - scared to
eat the bloody delicious stuff.
Well, OK, I tell lies too - I sometimes have a scratch on toast as comfort
food.
The trouble is, I grew up on a farm and we had Bees.
Oh well.

I sometimes have peanut butter on toast and add a scrape of
honey or marmalade. As Long as it doesn't go over the number
of carbs that causes me a spike I am happy.

Replace it with celeriac in a cooked dish?

Looks scary, but is easy to prepare and is mild in taste. Dunno if you get
it in Oz, though!

If you calculate your carb intake, MasterCook puts the recipe at 139
Cal, 11.5g total fat, 1.4g sat. fat, 9.8g carbohydrates, 2.7g fiber and
2g protein per serving.

Default Nice carrot salad recipe

I don't know who posted the link to the Spice Trade Chicken recipe, and
the Carrot Salad. I am new on this group, so naturally, noone of the
names are familiar.

I just wanted to say that hubby and I tried both recipes for dinner
tonight. I halved each recipe, and for the chicken used thighs and legs.
We have enough Salad for hubby's lunch tomorrow (he is the diabetic),
and one thigh and three legs left over. The extra chicken, with all the
"glop" will be frozen, and Jim can defrost it and make a couple of meals
from it.

I shall be in Japan, visiting my son, and his bride of 2 months!! It
will be fun for me; however, he will have to fend for himself. The Dr
said "No Carbs", but we all know that is a ridiculous statement! Even
the bag of salad has 3 gms!!

Anyway, many thanks to whoever posted the link!! I love to cook, even
though I am damn near 70, but enjoy using new recipes. We have eclectic
tastes, and it is rare that the same meal is ever served exactly the same!!

Oops - the carrot salad. I didn't even see the herring salad.

BTW, the braised lamb shanks were terrific!
