Default Today's lunch

Lazy dal (cook 1 cup pink lentils in 3 cups water until done; stir in
a tablespoon of red curry paste and some salt to taste)

Greens with mustard seed (sautee a bunch of mustard greens and
spinach, sprinkled with a little salt, in oil in which you have fried
a teaspoon of mustard seed until it started to pop)

Yellow rice (make a pot of white rice, but add a teaspoon of turmeric
to the cooking water)

A pile of caramelized onions

Lemon chutney kindly provided by a friend

Mmm, yum, and so pretty. And except for the greens, all soft enough
for me to eat after today's oral surgery.

Leftover homemade stirfried beef with onions and peppers (seasoned with
garlic, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil) on a small serving of brown rice.

Snacks for later: marinated mushrooms and (a small serving of) red grapes.

All those Indian flavours inspired me too - leftover tandoori chicken wings,
and spinach cooked in yoghurt : ) Then I was still hungry, so I had a piece
of walnut bread with butter and jam - BAD Nicky! - 1hr pp 6.8, and another
record low on the scales today : )
