Tortillas
Santa Fe brand, 60g whole wheat tortilla, 13g carb - 7g fiber
36g flour tortilla, 7g carb - 3g fiber I like, DH will tolerate, he's been having one for breakfast wrapped around an egg and slice of bacon. He did gripe a little about the one I wrapped the tuna salad in, but I just told him if he was planning to eat 25 g carb in a bowl of tomato soup with it he didn't need 30g of carb in regular bread added to it. -- Merry mid-winter festival of conspicuous consumption and a happy arbitrary beginning to another orbit of the sun! |

I haven't tried those. I have bought some thin corn tortillas (can't remember the brand) that were very good and much lower in carbs than the others. I've also bought some low carb ones from The Tortilla Factory that tasted very good, but I can't eat them because of the soy. -- See my webpage: http://mysite.verizon.net/juliebove/index.htm |

Sorry, I just looked, they have both soy oil (may contain one of) and soy fiber -- Merry mid-winter festival of conspicuous consumption and a happy arbitrary beginning to another orbit of the sun! |

I've been getting these: Mission low carb taco size flour tortillas Total carbs is 18, fiber is 11, for a net of 7. They're tasty too, I've been making quesadillas with them. I"m very pleased. No soy substitutes. -- Siobhan Perricone Humans wrote the bible, God wrote the rocks -- Word of God by Kathy Mar |

I love the Mission low carb tortillas.
I only hope when the low carb bandwagon fades, they'll still make them!!! Jennifer Siobhan Perricone wrote: > On Tue, 28 Dec 2004 18:42:02 GMT, "Julie Bove" > > wrote: > > >>I haven't tried those. And for those of us who have to limit soy that puts them out of the running. Oh well, I don't miss that stuff that much anyway and can always manage to count a tortilla or small serving of pasta into my meal, if I want that food. Fortunately, I did find an excellent low-carb high-fiber bread that doesn't contain soy. Sherry |

We really like the plain Campbell's with water, we haven't liked any other kind we've tried. btw, I don't boil or simmer, I nuke! I'll look for this Knorr's stuff to try, I never heard of it. -- You can't have everything.....where would you put it? |

I will look for that. I've been buying some organic stuff that comes in a waxed carton. It's lower in carbs than the canned stuff, but makes quite a lot at a time. I was at the store today and I found some Knorr, but nothing with tomato, just cream of spinach, cream of broccoli, oxtail something, broths... -- No Husband Has Ever Been Shot While Doing The Dishes |
