ken davis in the super market has a 2 carb per serving sauce I like..I
augment it with pepper and a few drops liquid splenda and some balsamic
vinegar and mustard..its very good!

Proper bbq is spice rubbed and sits overnight, then smoked very low and
slow heat... doesn't need to be sugared to be good.

I buy natural organic baby back ribs that are juicier than feedlot crap,
and make them this way. I will brush them extremely lightly with a not
sweet bbq sauce just before taking them off the grill at the end.

And eat with hands and a zillion paper towels.

I make my ribs with a dry rub and sauce them 10 minutes or so before
removing from the grill..if im oven grilling them on a wore rack in the oven
I get nearly as good a grilled taste if I sauce them one side and back a
half hour..flip and do the top side for last 30 mins..yum!

When Angela was a newborn, I took her to the grocery store with me to buy a
few things. I had fed and diapered her before we left.

In the store she began screaming unless I picked her up and held her. I
didn't have one of those strap on things. We did own one but I never got
the hand of it. My husband did use it a little bit. I don't think it would
have fit me anyway. It was a thing where the baby sat upright in the front
and I had big boobs until I quit breastfeeding.

As you can imagine it was hard to push the cart, hold the baby and grab
things off the shelves. All these people kept stopping me, telling me what
to do. Feed her! Change her! Change her clothes! Put a hat on her! Burp
her!

I just remember blasting through the store, grabbing what I could and
tossing it in the cart, hoping it would be the right combination of things
to make a few meals from.

Of course as soon as we got home she stopped crying. I never did figure out
what it was.

i am not the least bit maternal, but i also know that it is imparitive for
those people to have children to do what workswith the kids they have... not
the same and not the same for each kid... i admire those of you in the world
who do this oso valuable work for the future of humanity, Lee

I have trouble using chopsticks, they really need a pointed end :-)
One of the funniest things was some Chinese friends who had tried to
teach me how to use chopsticks trying to eat pizza with a knife and fork
they were relieved when I told them it was traditionally eaten with your
hands :-)

I can use chopsticks well for some things. Never could manage to get more
than a few grains of rice at a time. Perfect for a diabetic I think.

When Angela was about 18 months she told me she wanted to eat with sticks.
One of her friend's mom's was from Thailand and always ate with chopsticks.
So I bought her some and she ate everything with them for a while. I didn't
have to show her how to use them. But then apparently she just forgot about
it. Went back to using a fork. And now she can't manage the chopsticks.

generally stick to all beef, i have to limit organ meats like liver because
of the iron content, and chitlins don't freak me out its just the texture of
chewing rubber bands i have trouble with... and i guess if its processed so
the texture is doable i'm ok with it, Lee

I've had pig ears many times when I spent my summers in Georgia...they eat
every part of the pig..us kids got the less desirable bits..lol

but they can make all parts as tasty as the rest so it was great!

I loved pig ears in gravy and cracklings and fried eggs and fatback etc.

only thing I disliked was pickled pigs feet..I like them plain or in split
pea soup..and chitlins which smell horrible in the prep for obvious reasons
and usually in the cooking too...gross.

higher up organs are great for casings and even would try the grilled ones
you see other cultures do on the barbq..

but the versions I've had/seen/smelled in the south were all the last few
