Swiss Chard with Bacon and Garlic
This was in an S-Mart recipe folder, and sounded good...also easy.
4 slices bacon, chopped 2 bunches Swiss Chard, coarsely chopped. 1 TBS chopped fresh garlic 1/3 C. shredded Parmesan Cheese Preheat oven to 350 F. 1. Cook bacon until crisp, blot on paper towels, and drain fat from skillet. 2. Cook chard in same skillet over medium heat until chard begins to wilt. Add garlic; cook, stirring, 2 minutes. 3. Place chard in baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray, sprinkle with bacon and parmesan. 4. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until top is golden brown. Per serving: 90 cal., 4 g fat, 2 g sat fat, 10 mg chol, 650 mg sodium, 10 g carbs, 4 g fiber, 8 g protein |
