Default Bacon'd asparagus dinner

Before dinner BG 67. Jun made bacon wrapped asparagus and Pearl oysters,
plus cheese and hot Italian pork sausage. Heavenly! One hour PP BG 68.
Guess I'll have a handful of tortilla chips and try to remember the 15-15.
;-)

15 min BG 72. I'll check it at one hour. One hour 72! Jun sold 300 Curry
Puffs today. I just found a broken one . . . and ate it! I'll check again
in an hour. Weird. I know those Curry Puffs are high in carbs. Flour,
potatoes, onion, sugar. One hour PP 82. Two hour 107. Three hour 106.

Me too, not to mention the fact that the more carbs, the more the pancreas
has to work. I am quite attached to my own natural insulin and don't want to
lose it over a few measly carbs.

High or low, I never feel crappy after that first cup of coffee in the
morning, which in my case is between noon and 2 PM.

I've forgotten. What meds are you on? If you are on any to
do with BG's either you don't need them or your meter may
need calibrating.

Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.

G'day, Alan,

No ethical drugs (as they're called here in the States). I switch among
several Thai herbs. Recently I been drinking lotus germ tea. I've also
taken Fatalajon (Andrographus Paniculata) leaves, Sadau (Neem) and bitter
melon. In Asia, they're considered "cold" plants. They're all bitter to
varying degrees, but I've come to like that. Even most Thai people can't
eat much Sadau straight. It's really bitter. I like to dip it in hot water
for a few seconds, then eat the buds and flowers off the branch (some times
with Thai Nam Prik Kee Gaa). Whether they all help or not, I don't know. My
BG is good when I don't go on a carb binge. We have fatalajon and sadau
growing in our backyard jungle.

My meter is a One Touch Ultra 2. I bring it in to my Diabetician's every
three months so he can DL my readings and interrogate/chastise me for the
high ones. He does a comprehensive blood test each time and checks my meter
against his with venous blood. They're always within 5 mg/dL either way.

Take care. Cheers!
