Thought I was the only one who loved this form of fish. My family
goes crazy when we can get this as well as smoked roe.
We prepare a very rich butter sauce with and without a curry and
drop large chunks into the sauce to heat through and serve with small
fresh boiled potatoes.
Oh you have made me so very hungry.

Abroath Smokie has been awarded protected brand status and quite right too.
The chemical alternates are totally outclassed by the traditional way the
Smokie is prepared. delicious! and a must try when you get the chance. Great
with poached eggs for breakfast.
