Default Three Pasta Blend works for me

For a couple of years now, I've been mixing Dreamfields and regular
pasta with julienned zucchini and have gotten good post-meal numbers.

Recently, I bought some Nutrition Kitchen Golden Angel Hair Soy Pasta at
Susan's suggestion because she said it had none of the usual "icky"
flavor of soy.

Tonight I added the soy pasta to the blend and deleted the zucchini. So
it was DF, regular pasta and the soy.

The result was better than expected. 116 mg/dl at one hour, 88 mg/dl at
2 hours and 89 mg/dl at three hours.

Also, the taste and texture of the blend was good.

The texture of the soy pasta all my itself is too rubbery IMO. But as
1/3 of the mix, it's not a problem.

The reason for mixing DF and regular pasta is the different digestive
rates. The DF has a delayed carb effect while the regular stuff comes on
fast. The soy with its protein content may have a slowing effect on the
regular pasta.

As for insulin, I had some Lantus going in the background and about 3
units of R mixed in there as well.

Dreamfields and Nutrition Kitchen pasta can be bought online at
