REC: Octo-Dogs
This isn't so much a recipe as a presentation idea. Small kids seem to
enjoy these "Sea Creatures" made from hot dogs. You really need to see the pictures to understand. Recipe By: Pete & Peggy Romfh Serving Size: 4 Cuisine: Garde-Manger Main Ingredient: Hot Dogs Categories: Low Sugar, Diabetic, Atkins-Friendly, Low Carb, Kid Friendly, Grill, Simple - Easy, Snacks, Sandwiches, Hors dOeuvres, Brunch -= Ingredients =- 1 cup Lettuce ; - or other greens 4 medium Wieners ; - I used turkey dogs 1/8 teaspoon Mustard ; - or other condiment -= Instructions =- Scatter lettuce or other greens on plate to look like seaweed. Grill or heat hot dogs as desired. Slice hot dogs about 3/4 of the length into 8 "tentacles". Cut small groove for mouth and poke holes with toothpick for eyes. Fill holes with some mustard and arrange Octo-Dog on seaweed. Serve and watch the giggles.
