Default Looking for a Deep Fryer

I'm looking for a recommendation for a deep fryer. I was thinking of
getting an Oster Immersion Deep Fryer ODF540, but I can't find a
review for this product.

Thanks!

About 35 years ago...we purchased a Lodge cast iron Dutch oven. It
still works today as our primarily deep fryer and serves a dual
purpose for braising/roasting and is great at the campsite. Of
course, it is completely and naturally non stick.

Why don't you look for microwave fryer. It will reduce the fat content
also

Thanks

Also I plan to use Enova oil. your body stores less of it as fat.

Being cheap I hate to throw out a whole lot of oil so a deep fat fryer
wasn't in the equasion at all for me. I'm cooking for only 2.

On the way to the campsite I realized I'd forgotten a pan to cook in.
So I picked up a cheap-o 6" cast iron skillet for $6.

Hey, it's great. As I was seasoning it, I realized it would be a good
deep fat fryer. Well, 1" deep. I like being able to reach all the
food for flipping over. The weight gives good stability -- no danger
of the pot going flying like a flimsy s/s or aluminum one.

I love ALL my Lodge cookware. Soon you will be looking for a Lodge
outlet store! <vbg>

There is nothing better than chicken fried steak cooking in cast iron.
