I got one of these for x-mas, and I'm not sure how to use it. I'm
assuming that its main usefulness is that you can "grill" meats in a
healthful way, since the fat drains away? I'm most interested in
grilling/cooking veggies on this thing, any suggestions?

I have a 10" square one that I gave myself for Christmas two years ago
and I use it just for grilling meat--never have tried veggies, but I
don't see why it wouldn't work nicely for that purpose. For meat, I
let it get smoking-hot before putting the piece of dead cow or pig on
the surface. It gets *quite* smoky, though, so if you don't currently
have good kitchen ventilation you might want to think about fixing
that. :-)
