Kitchen Cutlery

I'm a sucker at swap meets and Flea Markets when I find a vintage kitchen knife. I appreciate the quality and you can't call these guys old dogs since with a little TLC they are ready to go back to work, and they do their job very well.
I can't really say I'm a collector. My kick is cleaning them up and passing them on to others who are also appreciators, and to those who aren't familiar and come away amazed at how good they are.
Many different names have come to me and that is also a hoot when something different appears. Sometimes the research can be brutal, but I think all of us, no matter what we do live for that Eureka moment.
Is there anyone else here who is also interested that I can swap notes with and maybe learn a thing or two from?

That's an interesting hobby.

What do you do when you find a nice knife with a damaged or missing
wooden handle? Do you make a replacement yourself, or have you found
someone else who offers such a service?

Tnx -- Larry
