Question Forgotten Recipes?

Every community in the world has a kind of dish that they prepared from time immemorial. This is a traditional food that mainly comprised of ingredients that were easily found around their settlements. Somehow these foods either got forgotten or their recipes were lost because they are no longer available....or are they?
It would be nice to know which of the forgotten recipes still exist and better still to see them appear ever so often on our dinner tables, don't you think?
