A recent post regarding problems with a defective Thermador oven leads
me to ask about Amana. We have had two, high-end Amana refrigerator-freezers and both have been maintenance nightmares. One was replaced completely by Amana after the freezer liner split open! We've been plagued by compressor problems, electrical problems, icemaker problems water-dispenser problems and problems with service personnel who were simply incompetent! Maytag (actually Maycor) recently purchased Amana and I can guarantte you that the Matag repairman is running his ass of! Has anyone had similar Maytag problems? Have you obtained any relief from those huge repair bills? DaveinFLL ========================== It's not the heat, it's the humidity! ========================== (..Think the humidity's bad? Everything works. Only bad thing is we don't use the ice fast enough and sometimes it's kind of nasty, so every now and then I dump the ice and let it start over. Dawn |

Amana Refrigerator-freezers
We've had an Amana side by side for nearly 5 years and no probs (yet).
