Fascinating Coffee Opportunity at Selfridges.
Selfridges are putting on a 'Brazilian' event this month.
Concomitantly there's a coffee-sampling promotion in their Food Hall with eight high-grown coffees to cup. Better yet, the Growers themselves are there; as are some of the best baristas in the world - most of them from Scandinavia and Iceland. The coffee quality is astounding. Most revelatory to me was the realization that Scandinavia is now the centre of coffee excellence: forget Italy. |

Hi Peter, They do well in the barista competitions, but that's a bit like judging hunting dogs on their performance at Crufts. That said, Finland has been the top per-capita consumer of Arabica in the world for as long as I can remember. - David R. -- http://www.demitasse.net |
