Certainly coffee is largely subjective, but personally I find nothing
"ultimate" about Kona coffee. The reason why 100% Kona coffee is so
expensive is because a farm worker in Kona might make more in 1 hour than an
African coffee farm worker makes in 2-3 days. It has little to do with
quality or demand as many assume. There are just as good (if not better)
coffees that come from Africa, South America, Indonesia, and other parts of
the world.

I've tried coffee from all over the world including several Konas, Jamaica
Blue Mountain, and even Kopi Luwak. Mostly what you get from astronomically
priced coffees are a lot of hype.
