![]() Hi, I want to buy Dark Chocolate in bulk, around 20 lbs per week. I'm having trouble finding a source. I've used Schraffen Berger, which is great quality, but they are too expensive for me. Any ideas where I can buy bulk dark chocolate?? GP |

I ask because Linnea's sells to businesses and carries Guittard, Peter's, Callebaut, and others, but I don't think they sell to individuals. Here is a web link: http://linneasinc.com/Catalog/Scripts/default.asp My wife uses Wilbur and Peter's in her chocolate shop. They have a couple of dark chocolates. I prefer their Brandywine Bittersweet. Callebaut has some nice ones also. You can poke around on the web sites of the manufacturers and some of them have links to distributors. The obvious choice is Chocosphere, www.chocosphere.com - they're the largest
Internet-based chocolate retailer. I don't know very well how their prices compare, since they're local to me (Portland, OR) and are cheaper for me to buy from just due to not having to pay for shipping. Speaking of shipping, you should find a source local to you or budget for having to pay for warm-weather packaging during the summer months (or all year 'round if you're in Hawaii!). Call your better restaurants and ask them what kind of chocolate they use and where they get it. You shouldn't have any difficulty. |
