Crimes against meat

My toungue is awful sore today from biting it so hard last night. The guy's
been a pretty good griller in the past so this suprised the heck out of me.

We're having steak, they've been out of the fridge for a while (good so
far), he starts his coals (cant get him to use lump, his loss), then when
the coals were past ready, he just plops the meat on the grill straight out
of the package, put the lid on the Weber and says " I'll take a look in
about 10 minutes".

Baked Steak. Completely gray inside and out. It's not a "blood" thing with
him either, they like their roast beef good and bloody.

We owe this couple a dinner anyway, think I should serve it up to him done
right?

Sure, do it the right way. After you give him a superb meal, maybe he'll
feel like he owes you a dinner done right. :-) In any event, you'll have
the satisfaction of doing it the way it should be done, and being a good
host.

Exactly, plus if you do it 'wrong' just to get even, you gotta sit there and
eat it too, unless you cook yours properly and serve him....nah, do it
right.

Yes, have them over and show him how its done, he should notice the
difference in improved flavor and see errors of his ways.

Do it right. You'll feel better, and you'll eat better, too!
