Barbecue (alt.food.barbecue) Discuss barbecue and grilling--southern style "low and slow" smoking of ribs, shoulders and briskets, as well as direct heat grilling of everything from burgers to salmon to vegetables.

A while back I posted to a thread that I felt that AFB should not be
moderated. I lurk here, without any filtering, for entertainment as
much as for information. We just witnessed an altercation between
Pete C and Dave Bugg. Pete seemed to inadvertantly push Dave's hot
button. It was getting out of hand and Kevin pointed out. When the
time came for moderation, regulars stepped in and moderated. This was
the result.

Of course, you are right, Pat.

My apologies, Pete. I'm sorry for my invective.

This is not a moderated newsgroup.
Look at: ftp://ftp.isc.org/pub/usenet/CONFIG/active scroll down to
alt.food.barbecue; the y at the end means all messages get posted. An m at
the end means moderated, where
all messages go to a moderator who can clip any message he wants. The
snipping and clipping seen on some replies are at the discretion of the
poster. A newsgroup with the kind of flaming you see here could never exist
as such.
