Default Gifts ideas for someone new to Barbecue....

Hey all,

A friend of mine asked me for suggestions for her husband who has
recently gotten very interested in BBQ and is getting ready to build
his own smoker.

She was looking for ideas for what to get him for his new
hobby...cookbooks, cooking accessories, etc.

I came up with a few cookbook ideas (Smoke & Spice, Legends of Texas
BBQ) and some equipment ideas (thermometer, tongs) but was wondering
what else to suggest.

What accessories would YOU give to a newbie?
