Default Sealing chicken quarters with a Sinbo...

So should I just tear off the meat into small pieces before sealing
or can I just put a whole quarter piece in a bag? Seems like a whole
piece wouldn't seal up too well. I assume with ribs I can just cut
them
in half or so and seal as they are.

You sure don't have to shred your birdmeat before sealing....just put the
big pieces in the bag and seal away. If liquid wants to ooze out the top,
fold a strip of paper towel, put it in the bag at the top, leaving enough
room for you to seal. I generally cut racks of ribs into 4-6 rib sections
and seal them up.

Good luck.

Same tricks work for me. The paper towel trick works well.

Well I managed to get them all sealed up pretty well. Had some
problems initialy because the bag got so greasy it wouldn't hold a va
cumeas it was trying to seal. I put a small piece of paper towel right
over the snorkel to help with the fat being drawn into it.

I seemed to have lost my instructions and can't figure out how to get
the filter off to clean it. I unscrewed the black cap but from there I
don''t see how to take it out.

Anyways can't wait to see how this stuff tastes compared to normal
freezer bags. Anyone happen to know if these bags that came with the
Sinbo are boilable? I emailed them but am still awaiting a reply.

My filter cap is just heavy rubber and pulls off with some difficulty.
The filter itself (on
mine) is a little piece of sponge that I can remove with tweezers.
If your snorkel actually gets stopped up, you can ream it out with
a .004" shimstock feeler guage

I boil my bags all the time. I've never had one fail in the pot.

I don't know if they are or not, but I boil mine all the time.
Works for me, but then again I have no plans to die healthy.
