Competition briquettes don't have as much filler crap in them, like coal
dust.

They are in your Costco because it is summer and people buy things like that
for outdoor cooking.

Here's a fairly thorough "road test" comparing Competition and regular
Kingsford.

How much was it per pound at CostCo?

Kent

i can't remember but when dh was reading me the coupon flyer it seemed
cheaper than i remember regular brickettes, the coupon i think was off two
bags, when dh wakes i will ask him, or you can go and i think look on there
site, unless some other kind soul has the coupon book handy, heck, it might
not even be all that cheap as i am going from memories from a couple of
years ago, Lee

I have one daughter. She kayaks and packs a .357. She's married
to a herpatologist and handles cobras an African pit vipers. At last
count they have six grown crocodiles on their property. I'm very
careful about what I call her. She's hosting my birthday party labor
day weekend. Come on out and call her whatever you think you can
get away with.

I saw the "light-hearted humor" right away. But I respect anyone that
packs a .357.

I don't see much humor in making fun of someone's name. But, it's
been a dull week, so go ahead.

I lied about the gun. She actually packs a title. "Legal Assistant". She
works
for a firm of litigation lawyers.

With a name like mine, and having a military dad moving the family every
couple of years or so, kids making light-hearted comments about one's name
is the natural course of things. And one quickly learns how to deal with the
bullies who take it to the nth degree. :-)

I'd rather deal with the .357

Can we get away with "Brick's daughter"?

But the fun wasn't really being made of 'Brick' as a name, so much as
it was the creative spelling 'brickettes'. From there, the
progression was inevitable.

My preference for home defense (I live in a tin mfg home) is a .380 with
hollowpoints. Three of these mfg homes wouldn't stop a .357. In a real
house or more open area, I'd go with the 9mm or my .45. Actually, I'm
thinking about getting a shotgun.
