Looks good for a start Dave...some of the others have made suggestions for
pictures and cleaning text up a bit. That's the way to do it, you have a
great group of people a lot more knowledgable than me (and better spellers too).
Glad to see things are progressing well.
Hard to tell from here without pics but I think your prices are TOO LOW.
Maybe a note about how many ounces per serving or something?

Here's another one. Since you're making your living making great Q and
doing mostly local - probably flyer-based advertising - how about a
regular photo contest for the consumers? If your photo wins, you get one
free meal and your picture gets used on the website and the flyer for
the month with attribution.

It doesn't cost you much and generates a bit of competitive interest.
Plus it's kind of a nod to ABF which is otherwise just a bunch of freaky
geeks that take pics of plates.

I love the "rustic" freeform pies. I prefer to make them if the filling
isn't too runny. Who's doing your pies?

You're welcome.

as someone said, nice logo. Not sure if everybody will get the humor of the
vegetarian comment though. Have to remember that there might be vegetarian
friends and partners of your customers who might be satisfied with slaw and
your other non meat dealios.

Those vegetarians are not the trolls who come here, and might be paying
customers, or at least enablers to their loved ones Q habit. LOL Now I know it
probably felt good writing it,and it looks fun to read. But not all will get
it,and as low as margins can be in a restaurant, well..............

Good luck on your opening.

Thanks, Jeff, but if a vegetarian is that uptight and humor-impaired, it's
doubtful they'll darken my doorstep voluntarily anyway. Margains are not
tight enough to keep me from being myself. I spent 17 years having to
kow-tow the politically correct line working for public health, and I ain't
putting myself back into that misery again. :-)

Say what ya want. Beings as you're in Washington, although Wenatchee,
later you might consider a vegetarian entree. For example, my
brother-out-law is a carnivore whereas his petite wife is a vegetarian.
As long as he can eat, she'll be satisfied with salad or a spud. I'm
sure that Hwy 2 will bring more than one of that combination your way.

No need to be PC about it tho!

Ahhh, truth in advertising. That must mean the food is honest as well. It
should be a great success. ; ) I look forward to the day your doing mail

Trust *me*, JD, it's a self-serving recommendation. I have a vegetarian
sister-out-law and I'd like to bring her to Dave's if we ended up in
Wenatchee together. We'd go there anyway, but I was just trying to be
influencingly accommodating.

I could give a rat's ass.

I don't want to come off as pedantic, but maybe in this case it's
appropriate :-). There are also misspellings at the bottom of the menu:
"barbercued" and "spicey" should be "barbecued" (or "barbequed"?) and
"spicy". And maybe you also intended "Smoked Whole Ham" instead of
"Smoke Whole Ham"?

Lookin good Dave!

I agree with what everyone said, with one additional comment: Your
menu seems to be a collection of images pasted into a table, which
doesn't scale well on all monitors. On mine, the text is blurred, to
the extent that the directions under the address are illegible, and I
have to scroll left and right to see the whole thing, even when the
window is maximized. May I suggest that you use a text table, so that
it'll be properly displayed on all browsers and window sizes.

As regards your vegetarian comment, your interests lie in being
inclusive. That doesn't mean No Humour, just don't make it specific to
any subset of potential customers. "The customer is always right".
