Barbecue gunman kills himself
An estranged husband who gunned down his wife and her sister at a family barbecue died in his prison cell after slashing his throat and body with a razor blade. A Home Office inquiry was launched immediately after Stuart Horgan, of Plaistow, London, was discovered by staff at HMP Woodhill, in Buckinghamshire. The 39-year-old had unpicked a disposable razor before using the blade to repeatedly cut himself while in his single cell. He had not been on suicide watch since being placed in custody at the prison five days after the killings. Heavily-tattooed Horgan is believed to have scaled a garden wall to force his way into the barbecue, in the picturesque village of Highmoor Cross, Oxfordshire, on June 6. He sprayed bullets at his wife Vicky, 27 and her 25-year-old sister Emma Walton as Mrs Horgan's daughter Jade, seven, and the child they had together, Bobbie, three, watched on. Horgan's mother-in-law Jacqueline Walton, 55, was also wounded in the attack and remains seriously ill. It is believed that Horgan first fired at Mrs Walton, before chasing his wife into the house and shooting her in the head as she became cornered. He is understood to have then raced out to the garden and shot dead Emma as she attempted to call police. An initial inquest has heard that special needs teacher Mrs Horgan died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head and her sister suffered fatal gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen. Horgan raced from the scene and was arrested more than 100 miles away in his family home of Peterborough. He was later charged with two counts of murder and one of attempted murder and had been due to attend court on August 13 to enter pleas. DAILY STAR |

It is rumoured he went to the store for a six-pak, and upon his return discovered the sisters had boiled the ribs to speed up the barbecue. Let that be a lesson to you. nb -- Be considerate of others and trim your posts. Thank you. |
