NEED HELP! Restoring Old Char-Broil Model 220-A and need source for cast iron grates
Hi, As the subj: suggests, I am restoring an old Model 220-A charcoal
(not gas) grill. As happens, the cast iron grates for cooking (18 1/4 x 7 1/2 {x4}) and those for the heat source (15 1/2 x 10 {x3}) have some serious rust issues. I have been all over this group and others, the web at large and the phone book and have yet to find a good source for replacement grates. Does anyone know if these are still made or available and where? I would really appreciate any help in tracking some of these down. Thanks in advance, Tom |

However, the local one has an entire room of replacement parts. Maybe you could find some to fit. Or have some made at a local welding shop. _________ ht_redneck |

Three years ago when I bought my NBBD they had it optioned out the wazzoo for no more than the big box stores were selling the NBSS. Good deal for me and they helped be load it into the van. Of course, the store I purchased at is now gone! YMMV Rob Q 4 all so long as its not parboiled. |
