Default pop out thingie in the boid

Ok, tomorrow I'm putting in a 14 pounder in the K. I bought an
expensive, well to me it was, fresh Norbest. But it has that thingie
that pops up when it's supposed to be ready. So do I go by that or
the Maverick?
