This situation is without a doubt, the total and complete responsibility of the Congress of the United States. Republicans and Democrats both say they don't like our out of control national debt, but which ever party is in control of the Congress (and/or the presidency), the debt still goes up and up. Both parties are lying to us. I have said for years, that the only real difference between the parties is the speed at which they are taking us to a full socialistic society. I think I have been proven right.

I think it is time we started all over again, getting back to common sense government instead of perpetual politicians who remain in office by giving other peoples money away, whether they have it or not. There is little doubt that some day there will be another revolution. When, depends on just how fast and how bad the situation becomes. I fear that we may evolve into a totalitarian system before people get all they can take and revolt.

Our national debt is ridiculous and there is no possible excuse for it. Our Congress has put us in this position and continues to add to the impossible situation.

That debt clock is a terrible way to estimate the doneness of your
pork butt. I then built a working exact recreation of Su Song's clock
but remembered it's temperature, not time, that you need to pay
attention to. On the plus side, the clock was made of hickory so the
wood went to good use.
