Take no prisoners. Make no excuses. I'm 74. So?

Top-posting is one thing. Posting the same message four times before adding
a line of your own is another. Get it together, Old One! ;-D

Hey bubba, naw, I don't know what happened. When I sent that message, the
puter started chatttering like it's teeth were loose. I was mortified when
I saw what happened and figured I would hiss off the whole bunch. Sorry
about that. I think I best go back to lurk mode for a bit.

Bubba? You have de-cloaked. Lurking is no longer an option. Resistance is
futile. You will be assimilated, bubele!

Nah, you're doing fine. We all have a learning curve, so just
hang in there.

Thank you. I really don't know what happened had to restart the darn thing
to make it stop.

I have finally gotten through the gazillion post from when I started
lurking. Seems I am down to grill/smoker types, a file of recipes, times
for cooking and such.

I always knew there was a lot to it but didn't realize just how much.

It looks that way at first when you're beginning, but once you do it a
few times you'll see how simple it really is, or can be anyway.

Fired+smoke+meat=BBQ

It really is that simple, and the smoke part comes naturally if you're
using the right fuel, so it's just heat+meat.

And anyone man know how to heat their meat.

Or something like that.

Hhhhmmm, that is what those "manly man aprons" are to prevent, someone
posted about them.

Anyway, one thing I didn't see was abouot applewood. We cut down a tree two
years ago and I saved the wood. What kind of cooking is this good to use in
doing? I notice different ones mention different types for their smoking.

4.Eat (something)

What's so complicated?

1. Kill something The killing something might be a problem if you are not
into rats. Don't think going hunting with a scatter gun is a good idea.

2. Build a fire, no problem.

3. Cook something. Yeah but, you don't want it to taste like shoe leather
either.

4 Eat something. But you want it done enough not to kill you or someone
else, on a good day anyway.

Okay, buy something that's already dead.

One does not suggest that cooking should result in "shoe leather".

One assumes that having cooked something, it will be fit to eat.

To assume otherwise, mankind would not exist.

If I knew him better I would say "only if he can remember it a second time"
but, since I don't know him that well, I won't say that.

the real point here is that news groups should be fun for the reder, if
making accomodations for dave make it not fun for him then he should kf and
there should be no more discussion, Lee

it works fine if you don't factor in the screen reader, which screws up the

you have just experienced technology conflict... OE and many of its "fixes"
effectively nuture the screen reader which objects by chattering and
spitting out multiple post of an indetermite number, Lee

the top poster is generally responding to the last thing posted, if done as

Lee

You are top posting to an article posted nearly 24 days ago

for us to figure out what you are talking about first we must scroll all the
way through original posts and then bounce to the top to see your comments

If you would merely bottom post then we can scan through the message and
then read yours, one nice easy flow

would you please considering hitting the CTRL + END keys at the same time
for us?

But you're not posting from Google and you have the option of
putting any address you like in your posts. If you just use
"geemail.com" that would solve everything. That's what most posters
who run into this problem have done.

So I'm just now reading this thread (thanks to somebody who pointed
it out but doesn't read often enough to have told me sooner).

So this is why I get bitched out for telling Granby to "Just do it!"
when telling him to put his damn smoker together and stop fretting
about it?

You know, not all of us read all threads especially when they see
"Kettle" and top posters. I have skipped nearly all his posts
because I can't stand the top-topting. But I didn't say anything
about it.

So **** everyone who thought I was rude to him/her. I don't have
digital E ****ing SP. And I mean that sincerely.

Steve, Lee uses a screen reader that doesn't allow her to use CTRL +
END. If she tries it, the reader starts chattering and shoots out
multiple copies of the same post.

She's stated it a couple times today, but probably after you sent this
post.
