Cheapest in the land. http://www.feltonsmarket.com/ad.pdf -- Chainsaws, Shotguns and Whisky. What could possibly go wrong? TFM® |

About every 3 weeks.... like clockwork the local ma & pa store has the cryovac 2-pack of butts for $.99/lb. I usually wait and stock up at these times. KW |

Regular price at my preferred retailer is $1.67, and that's on the cheap side. I wouldn't expect a wholesaler to give me much of a break on 18lbs worth of butt. I'm sure others pay well over $2/lb - like, northern CA. -sw |

Big flabby boneless pork shoulders are $1.39/pound at the local Costco, and somewhat cheaper at Cash N' Carry. I greatly prefer the smaller roasts from Safeway. The yield is much higher percentage-wise and IMO the flavor is way better too. I try to buy the shoulder blade roasts in the mid-4# sizes and not the larger ones as the smaller ones taste better to me. What map? Grant |
