Celery Seed OIL

Can you share your experiences in using essential oil of celery seed
in a bbq sauce?

How much did you use?

Did the flavor diminish over time?

Did the leftover oil keep until you made another batch of sauce?

My experience with celery seed oil in BBQ sauce? Yeah. Exactly none.
My question would be..."WHY?"

You didn't mean BBQ sauce, right? You meant Bloody Mary, right?

That's my newest favorite beverage. Half Clamato juice with half V-8
extra fiber. Add 1 tsp toasted celery seed and 1 tbsp Frank's or
Crystal to the veggie portion.

I suppose if you're using pure celery seed oil, one drop would be
sufficient for 20-24 ounces of sauce.

Seed extract flavors will not diminish. They'll only get stronger.

The oil should last for a couple decades, tightly capped and in a
dark place.

If I wanted a celery seed flavor in my sauce, I'd just use ground
seed. It's dirt cheap and flavors food easily with just a little
bit. I can imagine how potent the oil is. Apparently you found
this out the hard way.
