Monday's bbq-2MB!!!
Posted pictures across the street, in a.b.f. This is one of those times when
I'm reminded that the thermometers are just a guide. The pork wasn't done until 16-17 hours, and the thermos said 185 and 178, respectively. But the fork test always works. The briskets were done at around 12 hours, but the thermometers said 182 after 8 hours, then I cut the heat down, the thermometers went into the upper 160's, turned the heat back up, and they hit 200. No matter. The pork is excellent. The briskets are very tasty, and fall-apart tender, if just a little bit dry. Half-can of beef broth during the warm-up will fix that. EZ |

Wonder if it got rejected because of the size? It was two pics in one message, just over a meg each. I'll try again, one pic per message. Subject line will be the same as this one. EZ |

You can lower the pix down to 72 DPI as well since that's a puter monitor's resolution and nobody seeing them is going to print and frame them. |

Monday's bbq for the workplace (Was: Monday's bbq-2MB!!!)
Thanks for the suggestions, folks. I've reposted the pics across the street
in a.b.f. And, they're actually there. They're 156 Kb now. Subject is "Monday's bbq for the workplace" In abpmh (alt.binaries.pictures.motorcycles.harley) a couple of the guys liked Irfanview, and others liked the Image Resizer Windows XP powertoy. I installed the latter, and it couldn't be easier. Select the images you want done, right click and pick "resize images," radio button on the size you want, and done. It's a good thing I threw out the planning charts on how much to cook per person. I had over 25 pounds of meat before cooking, brought in all but 2 pounds of it, and 25 people ate it all. I mean, *ate it all.* As in, all gone. And there were a half-dozen sides, and lots of desserts, too. Now they want me to do this every year. One guy wanted me to bring in barbecue every week. That's real satisfaction. Almost as much fun as making it in the first place. -- EZ Traeger BBQ075 "Texas" CharGriller Smokin Pro Great Outdoors Smoky Mountain Wide Body CharmGlow 3-burner All-Stainless Gas Grill Weber Kettle One-Touch Silver 22-1/2" Weber Kettle Smoky Joe Silver 14-1/2" |
