Default Fun with sourdough

I ordered a jar of sourdough starter from King Arthur. About the time
it arrived, we had to fly back east on family business. Not wanting to
kill it from neglect, I had my next door neighbor starter sit. After we
got back, it was a couple of weeks before I got around to doing anything
with it. This week I made some bread with just a wee bit of regular
yeast added to the starter. Because of my weird schedule, all but the
last rise took place in the fridge. It came out excellent. Good crust,
tasty, not at all dry. Maybe this weekend I'll make some rye bread with
it.
