The occasional bit of foul language is nothing compared to the spam, virii and pornography they are likely to encounter in this medium. Think of Usenet as the American old west in the mid 1800s. There is no law here. There are a lot of good people but there are bad people as well and the two may not always be easy to distinguish. I would suggest that you find a moderated web based bulletin board for your children to use if you want to involve them in an interactive medium such as this. |
