Bordeaux wine aesthetic
Can the Bordeaux wine aesthetic be described as follows?
- When the grape/fruit flavor which normally dominates is suppressed
through judicious blending such that it recedes into the background to
serve as a foil to other previously unnoticed flavors and aromas
(e.g., leather, smoke) which now not only can begin to make their
presence better felt by having been allowed to come to the fore, but
can also go on to interact in a variety of combinations such that each
new sip presents a slightly different sensory experience.
