See if you can get hold of a copy of the book, "Invisible Allies - Microbes
and Man's Future" by Bernard Dixon.

You'll find that only a tiny fraction of one percent of bacteria are
harmful, the rest are helpful and many are essential, so going YUK at the
thought of people eating bacteria as food supplements or otherwise is just
not logical. We all eat them all the time - and meat-eaters get through far
more bacteria than us Vegans!

And algæ have long been recognised as being extremely highly nutritious, so
much so that NASA once proposed using them as a concentrated food for
astronauts!

And BTW, it's the meat industry that is responsible for many harmful
bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics by feeding their livestock on
antibiotics to make them put on weight faster.

I hope you find this helpful.
