C.B. Stubblefield cooked REAL BBQ in the back of Antones in Austin, TX
when it was located where the old Shakeys Pizza used to be on Guadalupe
St. That was before Antone went lock up for that small 400lb pot deal.
Antone is now out and C.B is dead. The company is owned by the family and
they make a rub, mopin sauce and bbq sauce.

For a store purchased bottled sauce..you can't beat Stubbs. I prefer
real pit BBQ that does not want/need sauce.

This recipe should work for a stewed/braised type of brisket that a lot of
"fine yankees" are used to. lol

It is obvious to all that it is not REAL PIT BBQ.

3 bottles of Stubbs for a 3-4 lb brisket is questionable. That is
close to a bottle per pound of brisket. You will have a pot of sauce.
