Here is what I use in place of Old El Paso (which I do like to use also).

1 tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. ground oregano
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix well. Yield 3 tablespoons mix. Equal in strength to a 1 1/4 ounce
package of commercial taco seasoning.
