Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Betty Crocker cake mix box

2 eggs
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup peanut butter
1 pkg. Betty Crocker cake mix
1 (12 oz.) pkg. Semisweet chocolate pieces

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat eggs, water, butter, peanut butter, and
half of the dry cake mix until smooth. Stir in remaining cake mix and
the chocolate pieces. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart
onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen
cookies.

Cook's note: Use your choice of yellow, devils food or white cake mix.
Variation: To make Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip bars, spread dough in
greased and floured 15 1/2-by-10 1/2-by-1-inch jelly roll pan. Bake
about 20 minutes. Cool; cut into bars. Makes 30 bars.
