Same here. I've never wanted to work as an unpaid scullery
maid.

Early last year, I had a bad fall hurting my back, and was off my feet for a
couple of months. D. bought a dishwasher! I had never wanted one and when
the one I'd had died years ago, decided not to bother to renew it. I was
quite happy to wash the dishes etc myself, so I wasn't too pleased.

I use it now!!! And I am glad to have it)
